Supported Jira Templates

The capacity tracker supports both “classic” as well as “next-gen” type of Jira project templates and covers “Scrum“ and “Kanban“ boards.

We do not support Kanban next-gen boards yet, but it is in our roadmap to do so.

If you are using a specific type of template/project/workflow and are interested in using Capacity Tracker, please write to our support in order for us to understand, discuss and support your specific uses cases. We can add your requirements into our product backlog and get it prioritized for the upcoming rollouts.

Capacity Tracker Measurement and View

For Scrum boards, Capacity Tracker uses “Sprints“ as a unit of the length of iteration (start and end date) and calculate the team capacity for sprint duration.

For Kanban boards, Capacity Tracker uses “Releases“ (Fix versions) as a unit of the length of iteration and calculate the team capacity for the version. The version could be configured weekly, monthly or as per project needs for the capacity tracking purpose.
