Jira Server logs

Since the server app is deployed in your own Jira instance, we don’t have access to the application logs. In order to troubleshoot a potential issue, those logs can prove crucial so here is how to get them on Jira Server:

  • In Jira server, go to Settings > System > Logging and profiling

  • Under “Default Loggers”, click on “Configure logging level for another package”

    • Package name: com.inprowiser.capacityTracker

    • Logging level: TRACE

  • Once the logger is configured, execute the steps on Jira that lead to the issue (could be some actions on the tracker page, some API calls, etc).

  • Once you tried to run a couple of times, go to Settings > System> Troubleshooting and support tools > Create support zip, and click on “Create zip”, then “Download zip”

  • We are only interested in the “application-logs” folder in this zip
