How to access Capacity Tracker in the new UI navigation for Jira Cloud?
Background:
Atlassian released the new UI navigation for Jira Cloud and Atlassian Home on March 17, 2025, entering General Availability (GA) and beginning a phased rollout across all editions. This introduced major changes in the navigation, look and feel - primarily around top, sidebar and project navigation.

How to Access:
Please use following quick guide to understand and access Capacity Tracker features in the new UI navigation.
Access Capacity Tracker:
Select the project and board.
In the top navigation menu, look for Capacity Tracker. If it’s not visible, click More to find it.
Click on the icon to open the Capacity Tracker interface.
Access Multi-Project & Template Management:
Go to sidebar navigation and look for Apps.
Look for Capacity Tracker - Multi project and Capacity Tracker - Template Management.
Click on the relevant to feature to open the Multi-project or Template Management interface.
If you still don’t see the Capacity Tracker icon:
Please ensure the app is installed and you have the right permissions.
For the tracker to appear on a board, you need to meet some conditions:
Project needs to be a software project.
If Jira Permissions Checking is enabled, you to have the relevant Jira permissions. For more details, refer to the Getting started with Capacity Tracker and Permissions
